IMPORTANCE OF SWIMMING

Swimming is a kind of an exercise which is suitable to all persons from age 2 to age 100 . All of us have swum in our childhood days in lakes , small ponds , rivers , wells and oceans as there were very less swimming pools in those days because the concept of swimming pools was very new and the amazing thing is that the swimming pools which used to be there at that time were only used for sporting activities . Even today many people don't have an idea about the precious benefits of swimming and swim just for amusement and entertainment which is absolutely fine .

NOTE  :  But there is a major problem now - a - days regarding the swimming pools . According to the International Surveys , the swimming pool waters is becoming very harmful day by day as the people who maintain the swimming pools are adding more and more Chlorine in the pool waters to make it look more attractive .  There is a limit to add Chlorine i.e. 5 liters of Chlorine per pool ,  but many pools don't follow these limits which in turn causes hair problems such as premature graying of hair , hair dandruff , etc . So my suggestion is to avoid such swimming pools and select the ones which add less Chlorine water .


Benefits Of Swimming


1 .  The main benefit of swimming is that you will never get an Heart Attack . The reason is that when you are under water i.e. when 75 % of your body is under water , the blood pressure automatically decreases . Thus the blood flows much faster throughout the body which in turn causes the Heart to beat faster than its regular speed . As a result , your heart becomes fittest and is ready to face any damn pressure situation . Thus it is a great Cardiovascular exercise .

2 .  When you swim for about an hour or so , your body will feel very flexible throughout the day and the effect of it will stay for about next 4 to 5 days . As a result it will help you stay stress free and make you feel more enthusiastic and active .

3 .  If you swim regularly , you won't need any other exercise to reduce your weight . You just will have to follow a specific balanced diet and as a result , you will effortlessly lose the unwanted fat form your body . 

4 .  When ageing , you may feel some discomfort and stiffness in your joints . Swimming totally eliminates this discomfort because when you are underwater , you feel the buoyant force and hence as a result makes your joints flexible .

5 .  According to a research (by The World Health Organization) , there is a drastic difference seen in Mental Health of a person , comparing his / her mental health before and after swimming . Due to the muscular exercises , the blood circulation also reaches till the end of every vein and hence blood is purified which in turn acts as a natural tranquilizer (a drug to reduce anxiety and stress) and washes out all the stress and anxiety .
